He served as a Research Associate at The Catholic University of America, where he co-directed the Mindfulness and Sport Psychology research lab and co-developed Mindful Sport Performance Enhancement (MSPE), a mindfulness-based training evaluated with archers, golfers and long-distance runners; that research also examined how facets of mindfulness relate to sport anxiety, self-efficacy and flow in athletes. He co-authored a 2018 book on MSPE published by the American Psychological Association.
